Fabric flies as cycling celebrates fifth Tour de Yorkshire

When it comes to May in Yorkshire, we know it is time for some of the world’s best cyclists to ride around the region.
For the last five years, our home county has held the Tour de Yorkshire race following the successful visit of the Tour de France back in 2014.
Almost every year since then, Brook International has been a stone’s throw from the action as these professional cyclists almost fly past the front of our building.
People around the world have seen the beauty of Yorkshire thanks to international media coverage.
From the main cities of Leeds and Sheffield to the beauty of the Yorkshire Coast and Dales.
The proud people of Yorkshire cheer on the riders throughout the course, from main streets to the usually quiet country roads, waving flags for all to see.
Cameras filming from helicopters have captured stunning footage from across Yorkshire, including some amazing artwork and banners laid out in fields throughout the course.

We donated fabrics for local people to create images in the fields in 2014. One of the pieces of art was called the ‘Fields of Vision’ in Stanbury.
Here at Brook International, we supply a range of 100% polyester knitted and woven textiles for appliqué flags and banners.
Our fabric travels far and wide, all over the world, so the next time you see a flag or banner, it could have come from our headquarters in Keighley.
But we do a lot more than just fabrics for flags, we offer a range of fabrics for household textiles, soft signage and display banners.
