“Business as Usual” – Chris Melia, Managing Director of Brook International
Despite the second lockdown, announced by Boris Johnson on 31st October, Chris Melia, Managing Director of Brook International said it is “Business as Usual”.
He said: “We have all been working to COVID-safe principles for months, so we are much better prepared to deal with the challenges of a second lockdown.”
Furthermore, as we have a large warehouse with extensive stock, Chris does not believe there will be any disruption to our usual service levels.
In a statement, Chris added: “Of course, there will be some uncertainty, and our customers will be working out what it means for them, but when they need our help we will continue to be here for them.
“We anticipate a surge in orders towards the end of the lockdown due to Brexit. It helps that the majority of our products are manufactured in the UK, and we have factored our stock models to cover any surge due to the possible delays of our competitors’ products at port of entry following the 1st January 2020 transition.
“Service standards will be key over the next few months. I believe the underlying health of the flag and banner market remains strong. However, even though we have experienced a national lockdown before, we are entering uncharted territory with the uncertainty surrounding Brexit.”
