Are You Ready For Brexit?

Brook International has increased its stocks of textiles, as we prepare for Brexit to finally arrive.
We produce textiles for digital printers, in industries such as flag manufacture, banners and advertising media production, from our headquarters in Keighley, West Yorkshire.
Managing director Chris Melia says the build-up of products in stock, is to help mitigate uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the UK’s impending departure from the EU.
Demand for the company’s premium quality textiles has increased, particularly from our European customers. Chris also expects a surge in demand from our UK customers, as the majority of our products are manufactured here in the UK.
Chris said: “Whilst we are confident that Brexit will create new international trading opportunities for Brook International, we are also mindful, in the short term, that it could result in increased lead times for products shipped to and from, some destination countries. We are as prepared as we can possibly be, and have put plans in place to negate any immediate disruption.”
“We are also aware that Covid-19 has led to a number of customers reducing their own stock levels. This has meant those assuming responsibility for projects have been seeking to reduce lead times for the delivery of our textiles.”
“We have therefore, decided to introduce substantial increases in the stock levels at our UK headquarters, to speed up delivery times in the event of any disruption caused by Brexit or the pandemic.”
