Brook International are delighted to have been the supplier of the Knitted Flag Fabric (FKPP) to be used to create the largest Union Jack currently flown from a flagpole in The United Kingdom.
The flag measuring a colossal 38’ X 19’ took 3 days to make from design, cutting, layout & finishing. It has been manufactured by Flying Colours Flagmakers of Knaresborough, www.flyingcolours.org. Their owner
Andy Ormrod who has been providing flags to the Royal Household for many years and is holder of Royal Warrants from both Her Majesty The Queen & HRH The Prince of Wales. said ' ‘We were extremely proud to receive the Royal Warrants and to have the privilege of manufacturing this huge Union Flag for Windsor Castle which is a vital part of our national heritage, I think this is a marvelous reward for everyone here at Flying Colours'.

The Union Jack pictured can now be seen flying on certain days of the year at Windsor Castle – the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world, which is one of the official residences of Her Majesty The Queen.
