The requirement for flag fabrics goes back centuries but as new technology and different production methods came into use the variety of flag fabrics needed by flag makers has increased.
To cater for this demand Brook International has developed a very successful range of flag fabrics which are readily available from stock and sold and distributed worldwide from its headquarters in West Yorkshire where there are excellent road, air and sea links. Brook International’s range of flag fabrics are used by traditional flag makers whether for appliqué, screen-printing or the ever increasingly popular digital print technology.
Woven Polyester : the preferred flag fabric for many flag producers and customers is Brook FWP-155gsm. Its strong construction and durability outdoors make it the ideal woven flag fabric. Conforming to British MOD spec UK/SC/4767 it is available from stock in a choice of widths and in 24 standard colours. Widely used for both appliqué and screen-printing where it gives outstanding show-through. For many flags, banners or standards used for civil or ceremonial purposes Brook Heraldic is the preferred fabric because of its silk-like appearance.
Knitted Polyester : a tremendously versatile flag fabric and widely used in both indoor and outdoor applications. Available from stock in a wide range of widths and in 21 standard colours. 115gms is the optimum weight for this widely used fabric whether for flags or banners and can be screen and digitally printed to achieve superb strong vibrant colours and maximum show through of colour and detail. For indoor display purposes the heavier weight 205gsm material is ideal as it produces outstanding depth and brightness of colour. All Brook knitted flag fabrics and display fabrics are available with a flame retardant option if required.
Brook woven polyester flag-header Tape is the ideal material to compliment our woven and knitted flag fabrics. Supplied from stock in 300mt rolls and in 4 standard widths with a centrefold for added strength.
